The Lions: Tough Terrain

Posted by
Mooie (Vancouver, Canada) on 23 July 2013 in Plant & Nature.

The first third of the hike is along a wide a mellow gravel road at the end of which is a sketchy path leading down to an equally sketchy bridge. The next thing you know, the trail looks like the above, and you need to use your arms and legs to get yourself up.

I am not sure how or when, but posting on this blog has become my most accurate platform for creative expression. It's so inspiring to browse through other blogs and every comment is very appreciated!

@Curly: Oh it was... but no pain, no gain, right?

CElliottUK from Reading, United Kingdom

A really lovely place for a full body workout. Too extreme for fat blokes like me!

23 Jul 2013 11:59am

@CElliottUK: Haha... it's harder than it look, I promise!

Ruthiebear from Titusville, NJ, United States

Steve Rice from Olympia, United States

That looks like no trail at all! ;-) A very pretty shot.

23 Jul 2013 11:57pm

@Steve Rice: That's what I kept thinking! Although in this shot I think the trail is actually just to the left or right

Harry from Apex, NC, United States

A rugged composition.

24 Jul 2013 2:52am

@Harry: You betcha

Abena from Illinois, United States

Oh gee, that looks fun to hike in with shoes and legs, but if you can do it with a bike I salute you :-) Gorgeous worms-eye sort of perspective I like the thick of it.

24 Jul 2013 3:27am

@Abena: No bike up this way, just hiking. In fact that might even be a little too gnarly to bike down! It was worth it though

Michael Rawluk from Williams Lake, BC, Canada

It looks like a place where one could sprain an ankle. Very cool shot.

24 Jul 2013 4:55am

@Michael Rawluk: haha. I don't doubt that it's claimed an ankle or two over the years. Going up may look daunting, but coming down's the hard part!

Sarito from Basingstoke, United Kingdom

All around you.. beautiful shot

24 Jul 2013 1:07pm

@Sarito: Thank you :-)
