In Bloom

Posted by
Mooie (Vancouver, Canada) on 9 April 2013 in Miscellaneous and Portfolio.

In some parts of the world the cherry blossoms are out in full force, in other areas the magnolia is the star. In my neighbourhood we have what I like to call the sole tree.

Happy ST :-)

I am not sure how or when, but posting on this blog has become my most accurate platform for creative expression. It's so inspiring to browse through other blogs and every comment is very appreciated!

I heard about shoe flinging about 2 years ago when "Phil the Art" decided to hang some shoes from the lightning conductor on Reading's biggest church. Still don't really get it. This seems to be a very fine shoe tree.

Much more whimsical and fun than the shoes that get thrown up over the wires in my 'hood, indicating drug supply status and gang territory. Love this soleful tree.

Great find and capture. I agree with what Rick said, flung shoes have the same meaning here. Drug neighborhood.
