The Doors - I

Posted by
Mooie (Vancouver, Canada) on 19 September 2012 in Abstract & Conceptual.

I've been noticing taking interesting (well to me at least) detail shots of doors lately. Here's the first and it opens into a change room at the beach where I often break for lunch.

I am not sure how or when, but posting on this blog has become my most accurate platform for creative expression. It's so inspiring to browse through other blogs and every comment is very appreciated!

CElliottUK from Reading, United Kingdom

Fascinated by what caused the green corner. Some kind of lens flare?

19 Sep 2012 5:55am

@CElliottUK: I guess so... I'm not really sure either. I actually took a few photos trying to eliminate it, but in the end I like it there!

@Stephen: Thank you!

Basile Pesso from City of Aminus, Paris, France

I like a lot.
The green part is strange and kinds of distracts but also upholds the composition.

19 Sep 2012 8:13am

@Basile Pesso: Thanks! Yes, I wasn't sure how to react to the green flash of light either. I tried to take some without it, but the exposure was not good and the texture was lost.

Rick from Toronto, Canada

Texturally groovy, literally and metaphorically and emotionally :)

19 Sep 2012 10:46am

@Rick: Thanks, you come up with the most lush descriptions... I should make a list of them "texturally groovy" :-)

Abena from Maseru, Lesotho

That is excellent texture! really!

19 Sep 2012 7:15pm

@Abena: Thanks! Funny... it was really the swoop that drew me in, but I think in the end it takes a back seat to the texture and the light. go figure!

Hi Mooie!! Hmmmmmmmm....I found recently that "Mooie" is a word from Netherland and its meaning is Beautiful. I'm a great discoverer now .

21 Sep 2012 4:06pm

@SalSa: Thanks a lot! I did not know that about the name... it's not my real name, but a nickname my family and close friends call me because I had a young relative that could not say it properly ;-)
