The day I knew quitting was the right thing for me.
This break up was long overdue

I am not sure how or when, but posting on this blog has become my most accurate platform for creative expression. It's so inspiring to browse through other blogs and every comment is very appreciated!

Steve Rice from Olympia, United States

Don't make any big decisions in that condition. ;-) A very cool and creative self-portrait. I like your style.

14 Sep 2012 5:37am

@Steve Rice: Ha, no decisions that day, but when a plant you are trying to get water to draws blood.... You have to wonder if it's trying to slap some sense into you! Thanks for your nice comment :-)

Rick from Toronto, Canada

Not your everyday self portrait, and that's great ! You look down and dirty with the job toil soil. I don't want to read too much into the other layers of your post via the text, and will just send you good vibes !

14 Sep 2012 4:01pm

@Rick: Thanks for the good vibes, Rick! I may have actually felt them yesterday :-) No other layers here, this day and others before there was quite literally blood, sweat and tears on the job site. This day though, I realized that I wasn't getting anything back for it.

RBL from Oxford, United States

Fantastic self portrait ... best wishes for you! Have a great weekend :)

14 Sep 2012 8:00pm

Nelida De La Fuente from Tres Arroyos, Argentina

Excellent self with magical incognita. With a bright sun hugging the face, trying to see something else. The other beauty eye to complete the beautiful look. Good color and light. a hug

14 Sep 2012 10:05pm

@Nelida De La Fuente: Thanks for your insightful words and for seeing a little magic :-)

Rick from Toronto, Canada

One of my best friends owns and operates a landscaping company. He busts his ASS every day, comes home to triplets completely wiped out, and questions his career choice even though he is the boss and he actually loves so many aspects of the work. It is one of the hardest gigs out there, physically. Blood sweat and tears should offer some manner of reciprocation. I wish you well with how it all unfolds.

15 Sep 2012 7:49pm

@Rick: ;-p Aside from the triplets, I know how your friend feels.... I used to run my own show too, very much highs and lows! There is a LOT to love about the work, and in the end I know that I'm lucky enough to be able to do a job that I'm passionate about and brings me (and others, I hope!) a lot of joy. It's just my current job that wasn't a good fit... time to move on!

Philou04 from Manosque, France
