My Crew

Posted by
Mooie (Vancouver, Canada) on 30 August 2012 in People & Portrait and Portfolio.

I'm lucky to have this guy even if he is a little weird. I imagine it takes a thick skin to work under the only chick in an alpha male dominated work environment.. This guy is the yin to my super left wing yang.... Type A personality, organized, fearful of authority, bordering on obsessive compulsive. One day before I get totally fed up and walk out on the job I'm going to get this kid to sing. He says he never does, but I know he wants to and I think it would be good for him.

I am not sure how or when, but posting on this blog has become my most accurate platform for creative expression. It's so inspiring to browse through other blogs and every comment is very appreciated!

CElliottUK from Reading, United Kingdom

So what type of personality are you? I've never been assessed on this type A/B thing but I have been assessed on something called Myers-Briggs. On that I am a completer-finisher, resource investigator, team builder, extrovert with respect for authority.

30 Aug 2012 8:31am

@CElliottUK: Ha, I don't know but I'll have to check out that whole Myers-Briggs thing. I like to think of myself as an enjoyable disaster. If I had to guess on Myers Briggs.... maybe an incomplete starter, intuitive investigator, team builder, introvert with little respect for authority. :-)

Mhelene from Villiers-sur-Marne, France

@Ainsley: Thanks! I hope so too, although I'm pretty sure I would hear all about it if they did ;-p

Rick from Toronto, Canada

A portrait that melds your very good image with some solid written observations. You literally turn the tables, as a boss whose pictorial POV is below this worker, and I like the idea of getting him to sing. It makes the busting of ass much more enjoyable !

30 Aug 2012 1:52pm

@Rick: Ha thanks! I find singing helps me cope with ass busting and crappy weather and whiny clients. It can also enhance an already enjoyable moment - yay for singing :-)
