"Is it what you dreamed it'd be?
Are you locked up in this fantasy?
These miles have torn us apart
My new found faith and my broken heart"

I am not sure how or when, but posting on this blog has become my most accurate platform for creative expression. It's so inspiring to browse through other blogs and every comment is very appreciated!

Rick from Toronto, Canada

Amos has one of those soul dripping voices, man... like Doyle Bramhall, where you can just soak in it for hours ... great road shot, Mooie. No problem sitting in a vehicle for long hours if needed, when the horizon is doing THIS...

@Rick: I guess I'll be looking up Doyle Bramhall later this pm... but totally agree about Amos Lee.... it's just so honest. I was listening to him when I took this shot. I drive this route often and I love, love, love it... not just because I love driving... but the landscape is beautiful and now familiar.

Roads...To nowhere, to somewhere, to places that you want to go to, to places that you don't, or just passing through

25 Aug 2012 7:16am

@CElliottUK: I love just passing through... if I could pack my stuff plus guitar and bike I would be content to spend a good chunk of time just passing through. Thanks for the comment ;-)

Curly from South Shields, United Kingdom

Leave it all behind, there's always some new place and life to discover, just roll down the windows and let it all in.

25 Aug 2012 7:59am

@Curly: So very true! And I love the feeling of leaving everything behind.... it's so freeing..... free to new things :-)

Rick from Toronto, Canada

Bramhall is bluesy, and I tend to really like this mellower songs... he's also a wicked understated guitarist with great feel. I hope you find some material in there to love !

Mooie from Vancouver, Canada

He really is bluesy... and also intense!
