Midnight SunPosted by Mooie (Vancouver, Canada) on 10 March 2013 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. The view from Keno Hill is north facing and the valleys below so fast that you can watch the end of the suns arc downwards and the beginning of it's ascent in about half an hour. It will feel like "dusk/dawn" for between 6-8 hours. This is at about 6am a few days after the solstice. I am not sure how or when, but posting on this blog has become my most accurate platform for creative expression. It's so inspiring to browse through other blogs and every comment is very appreciated!

@tataray: Merci :-) @Basile Pesso: Thanks a lot... I think that is actually the hood or roof of my car @Devi: Thank you! @Rick: Thanks a lot! I didn't notice that part when I posted (this shot is kind of old).... and I have a feeling the part that looks like water might be part of my 4Runner. @Curly: True... and I had that entire view all to myself for the entire night. Best view of the solstice all to myself. Crazy!! @*M.Я.G*: Thanks! @Ruthiebear: Thanks a lot! @destani: Thank you :-) @Abena: Man, everybody is diggin' that bottom bit... which I think is my truck! @Steve Rice: Thanks a lot... The "lake" is my 4Runner... which I think now has a nickname :-) @CElliottUK: It does! Every year I feel a little tug on my heartstrings to head back up there :-) I take it you have seen it, then? @CElliottUK: Well I'm definitely misty eyed... but for the missed expectation of 20,000 druids. And you. :-) |
